A great new way for students to record notes and structure their thoughts, ndxCards(TM), is to be introduced to students at Macquarie University as part of the University's Conception Day on September 19, 2008.
Pronounced "index cards", ndxCards software helps students to develop their understanding of study topics. ndxCards includes a highly intuitive method of taking notes on a notebook computer. The application also makes it much easier to pull together the knowledge required when writing essays, reports, or research papers. ndxCards is already in use at many Universities in the USA, and has just been introduced into Australia by Sydney-based Ganges Consulting.
The ndxCards package will be available as part of the U@MQ Loyalty Program. Students, faculty and staff can sign up through the U@MQ website (http://www.uatmq.com.au/shop/discounts?s=1001 ) and purchase ndxCards license at a discounted price.
ndxCards(TM) note taking, outlining and paper writing software supports an overarching focus on learning and productivity. It uses the metaphor of an electronic index card and has many features to capture notes and ideas. It provides freedom to organize notes by keywords, subjects, sources and authors and comes with powerful in-built search and filter functions. ndxCards includes the ability to create flashcards for learning, as well as an outlining tool for preparing essays and reports.
